Soulfest is New England’s premier Christian music festival and social justice event. Thousands of social activists and music lovers camp out at Gunstock, N.H. for a riveting four days and nights of great tunes, teaching, and outdoor activity. The Academy’s great location at SoulFest allows for attendees to attend the training during the day and enjoy the music and other festivities in the evening. NFS Academy
The Not for Sale three-day Academy at SoulFest will explore how market forces and the complexity of the global market perpetuate slave-labor in supply chains. Attendees will leave understanding what causes labor trafficking both globally and within their own backyard, what companies can do to end slavery and how they, as a consumer, can effect change with every purchase they make. Attend the academy and become engaged, educated, and equipped.

Dates: August 5th-7th, 10:00am-4:00pm
Price: $199 (includes four day pass to SoulFest)
Day 1: Introduction to the realities of slavery, trafficking, and labor violations, as well as an overview of the business of slavery.
Day 2: Begin discussion of supply-chain responsibility and sourcing practices that ensure forced labor is not used. The afternoon workshop involves a discourse on corporate social responsibility, including: corporate transparency, code implementation, and response to abusive labor when its uncovered.
Day 3: Examination of the exploitation of guest workers and refugees inside the United States, followed by the introduction of a platform consumers can use to best know what products you buy are not produced by slaves.
